Abomination, whose real name is Emil Blonsky, is a fictional character appearing in Marvel Comics. Created by Stan Lee and Gil Kane, he first appeared in Tales to Astonish #90 (April 1967). Abomination is one of the Hulk's main adversaries, possessing similar powers due to gamma radiation exposure, but with a permanent mutation into a large, scaled humanoid. In comics, Blonsky was originally a KGB agent who deliberately exposed himself to a greater quantity of gamma radiation than the Hulk, transforming into the Abomination. He has superhuman strength, stamina, durability, and regenerative abilities, and can hold his breath for extended periods. Abomination's character has undergone various transformations in comics, from a savage brute to a cunning schemer, then a tormented soul, and finally a repentant villain. He has fought the Hulk numerous times and has been manipulated by other villains, also engaging various superhero teams. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Tim Roth portrays Emil Blonsky/Abomination, appearing in The Incredible Hulk (2008), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021), and the Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022).
