Hobgoblin

The Hobgoblin is a villainous identity used by several characters in Marvel Comics, primarily as an enemy of Spider-Man. The first Hobgoblin was created by Roger Stern and John Romita Jr., and first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #238. The character is known for his Halloween-themed weaponry and equipment similar to the Green Goblin. The true identity of the Hobgoblin was one of the longest-running mysteries in Spider-Man comics. Several characters have assumed the identity in different storylines, including Roderick Kingsley, Ned Leeds, and Jason Macendale. Roderick Kingsley is generally considered the first and most prominent Hobgoblin, a successful fashion designer who used his wealth and criminal connections to further his villainous activities. The Hobgoblin has appeared in various media, including animated series and video games, and in some adaptations, Harry Osborn has also taken up the role. Hobgoblins are characterized by their use of pumpkin bombs, a flight glider similar to the Green Goblin’s, their enigmatic identities, and their pursuit of power.
