Ronan the Accuser

Ronan the Accuser is a fictional character appearing in Marvel Comics, first introduced in Fantastic Four #65. He is a Kree, holding the position of Supreme Accuser of the Kree Empire, responsible for enforcing its laws and judgments. Initially portrayed as a supervillain, Ronan was an adversary to hero teams such as the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Later, he evolved into a more complex character with a sense of honor, even marrying Crystal, an Inhuman princess. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ronan is played by Lee Pace, serving as the main antagonist of Guardians of the Galaxy and a minor antagonist in Captain Marvel. He is a fanatical Kree warrior with a deep hatred for the Nova Empire and Xandar, having once collaborated with Thanos before betraying him. Ronan possesses superhuman strength, durability, and the ability to manipulate cosmic energy. His primary weapon is the Universal Weapon, capable of manipulating matter, energy, and gravity. While he was ultimately defeated by the Guardians of the Galaxy in the movies, Ronan's storyline in the comics is more complex, with him even having ruled the Kree Empire.
