Whiplash

Whiplash is the name of multiple supervillains in Marvel Comics, commonly depicted as adversaries of Iron Man. The most well-known Whiplash is Mark Scarlotti, originally an electrical technician at Stark International who became a professional criminal using self-designed metal whips. He also operated under the alias Blacklash. Other characters who have adopted the Whiplash moniker include Leeann Foreman, a mutant criminal with whip-like wires, and Anton Vanko, a Russian scientist who built an armored suit with energy whips for revenge. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ivan Vanko, portrayed by Mickey Rourke in 'Iron Man 2,' combined elements of Whiplash and Crimson Dynamo. Whiplashes typically utilize whip-like weapons and have repeatedly clashed with Iron Man and other heroes.
