Wario

Wario is an anti-hero character in the Super Mario franchise, designed as Mario's arch-rival. He first appeared as the main antagonist in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins in 1992. Wario is depicted as muscular, hot-tempered, obese, and greedy. While initially a villain, he has become the protagonist of his own series, including the Wario Land and WarioWare franchises. Wario's name is derived from a combination of 'Mario' and the Japanese word 'warui' (悪い), meaning 'bad'. He is known for his yellow cap, purple overalls, large physique, zigzag mustache, and insatiable desire for money. Wario is a recurring playable character in many Mario spin-offs, often portrayed as an anti-hero driven by self-interest and a relentless pursuit of wealth.
