Toad

Toad, also known as Kinopio in Japanese, is a recurring character in the Super Mario franchise created by Nintendo. He is a humanoid mushroom, a resident of the Mushroom Kingdom, and a loyal attendant and friend of Princess Peach. Toad is recognizable by his mushroom-shaped head, usually with red spots, and his blue vest. While often serving as a supporting character in games, assisting Mario with items or information, he has also starred as a protagonist in games like Wario's Woods and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. The character's design has evolved over the years, with different colored Toads, such as blue and yellow ones, appearing in various titles. He is considered one of the most iconic characters in the Mario series, appearing in numerous spin-offs and merchandise. Toad is not just one character but also represents the entire species of Mushroom People. He is typically portrayed as gentle and somewhat timid, but loyal and helpful to his friends.
