Glide Guy

In Yoshi's Island DS, Glide Guys are a variant of Shy Guy with an umbrella on their head. They can glide in the wind, similar to how Princess Peach can with her parasol. If Yoshi jumps on a Glide Guy, it loses its umbrella and becomes a regular Shy Guy. Yoshi can instantly swallow them to turn them into eggs. In the Mario Kart series, the Super Glider is the default glider, first appearing in Mario Kart 7. It doesn't offer stat boosts but allows racers to go airborne after driving off a glide ramp. The Super Glider's color scheme is determined by the character using it. Glydon from Super Mario Odyssey is a draco lizard-like creature enthusiastic about flying and gliding. Mario can meet him in five of the game's kingdoms, capturing him to use his gliding abilities. In Super Mario Bros., Mario must overcome obstacles and defeat enemies to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser. The game features side-scrolling gameplay where Mario can jump, run, and use power-ups. It's a highly influential and iconic title in the series. Additionally, Super Mario World introduced more complex mechanics and new power-ups like the cape and Yoshi on the Super Nintendo (SNES).
