Poplin

Poplin (ポプリン) is a humanoid race that makes its debut in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. They are inhabitants of the Flower Kingdom, ruled by Prince Florian, and serve a role similar to the Toads of the Mushroom Kingdom in the game. Poplins have olive skin, round black eyes with white pupils, and wear outfits reminiscent of traditional Arabian clothing, including a hijab-like garment under their flower caps. They are distinguished by the flower buds or blooming flowers on their heads and assist Mario and his companions in various ways throughout the game. They run Poplin Shops, clear paths, and provide rewards such as Wonder Seeds when players complete levels. Several notable Poplin characters include the green "Loyal Poplin" who carries a pickaxe and resides near the entrance of Fungi Mines, the cyan "Angler Poplin" who carries a fishing pole and lives in Petal Isles, and the "Master Poplin," all of whom appear in the ending sequence celebrating Bowser's defeat. The Poplins are vital characters in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, adding color and vitality to the game.
