Cheep Cheep

Cheep Cheeps are common fish-like enemies in the Super Mario series, first appearing in Super Mario Bros. They are typically found in underwater levels and are recurring enemies throughout the franchise. Cheep Cheeps resemble pufferfish, with a red body, a white patch on their stomach, a yellow (originally white) tail fin, a mohawk-like dorsal fin, and wing-like fins. They also have blue eyes and pink lips. Cheep Cheeps are mostly found in water, but often jump out of it to attack. This behavior suggests they are inspired by flying fish, hence their wing-like fins. While most Cheep Cheeps are part of Bowser's forces, they are not always so in some games. In many games, Cheep Cheeps have various attack patterns, usually involving jumping. They come in different variants and colors, including yellow and green. Besides the standard Cheep Cheep, there are also Big Cheep Cheeps, Spiny Cheep Cheeps, and Deep Cheeps, each with different behaviors and traits.
