Blooper (Blooper Boss)

Bloopers, also known as Gessō (ゲッソー) in Japanese, are squid-like enemies commonly encountered in the Super Mario series. Typically depicted as white with a black, mask-like marking on their face, Bloopers first appeared in Super Mario Bros. and have since become recurring characters throughout the franchise. They primarily inhabit bodies of water, though some variations can also survive on land or in the air. Bloopers can exhibit various behaviors, including squirting ink and attacking players. Several variations of Bloopers exist, such as Blooper babies and Blooper nannies. Gooper Blooper (ボスゲッソー, Bosu Gessō), a giant Blooper, is a recurring boss, characterized by its larger size and tentacles. Gooper Blooper debuted as a boss in Super Mario Sunshine and has since appeared in numerous games, such as the Mario Tennis series and Super Princess Peach. Other variations include the Super Blooper, found in Paper Mario. Blooper and Gooper Blooper appear in different roles throughout the Super Mario series, acting both as basic enemies and challenging bosses.
