Elze

Elze is a supporting character in "Unnamed Memory." She is introduced as a widow who lost her husband to a powerful character in the series. Her story highlights the fragility of life in their world and the pain of loss. The anime adaptation has been criticized for skipping over much of her backstory, leading to confusion among some viewers regarding her motivations and actions, particularly towards characters involved in her husband's death. Despite this, she remains a significant figure within the narrative, reflecting the struggles faced by ordinary people in the setting. In both the manga and anime, Elze is voiced by Asami Seto. Fans have mixed reactions to her anime portrayal, with some believing that the adaptation's cutting of the source material makes her character's development and motivations unclear, which can make her storyline feel disjointed.
