Ebisu

Ebisu (エビス) is a Tokubetsu Jōnin from Konohagakure in the anime and manga series *Naruto*. He specializes in the private training of elite ninja, as stated by Kakashi Hatake. He is also the leader of Team Ebisu, which consists of Konohamaru Sarutobi, Udon, and Moegi. In his youth, Ebisu was on a team with Might Guy and Genma Shiranui. During the Chūnin Exams, Ebisu and his team clashed with Team Minato in the Forest of Death, where Guy quickly defeated Obito Uchiha. When Kakashi Hatake was promoted to Jōnin, Rin Nohara gathered the class for a super-secret party which Ebisu attended. He is first introduced as Konohamaru's tutor and dislikes Konohamaru's idolization of Naruto Uzumaki, as he sees Naruto only as the container of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox. His opinion of Naruto does not change even after Naruto 'defeats' him with the Harem Technique. Ebisu has a unique perspective on training elite ninjas, however his traditional views can make him resistant to new ideas and methods.
