Morino Ibiki

Ibiki Morino (森乃イビキ, Morino Ibiki) is a tokubetsu jōnin of Konohagakure, the leader of the Konohagakure Intelligence Division, and the commanding officer of the Konoha Torture and Interrogation Force. In the anime, he also became the new team leader of Team 40. Ibiki is known for his strict interrogation and torture skills, believing that pain is an effective form of communication. He possesses formidable mental fortitude, never revealing information even after being tortured. Despite his cold exterior, Ibiki has shown a more relaxed side and has a fondness for Naruto, admiring his energy and confidence. Ibiki's head is always covered by his forehead protector to conceal the scars he endured from torture. He is skilled in psychological warfare, able to gain control over a person's spirit by attacking their mind. In battle, Ibiki can use the Summoning Technique to summon various torture devices. He is also proficient in taijutsu and possesses considerable strength. He served as the proctor for the first part of the Chūnin Exams, testing the students' information-gathering skills, and guarded Konoha's borders during the village's invasion.
