Hatake Sakumo

Sakumo Hatake (はたけサクモ, Hatake Sakumo) was a renowned ninja of Konohagakure in the Naruto world, known as the "White Fang of Konoha" (木ノ葉の白い牙, Konoha no Shiroi Kiba). He was famous for his exceptional talent and power, with a reputation said to overshadow even the legendary Sannin. Sakumo was the father of Kakashi Hatake, who greatly admired him and aspired to become a great ninja like him. During a mission, Sakumo chose to abandon the objective to save his teammates, which led to his vilification and ostracization by the village. Unable to bear the immense pressure, he eventually committed suicide. His suicide profoundly impacted Kakashi, initially causing him to strictly adhere to ninja rules, though he later changed his perspective. Sakumo's weapon was the White Light Chakra Sabre, named for the white chakra it emitted when swung. He was a ninja who deeply loved his family and comrades, and even after death, his story and influence continue to exist in the world of Naruto.
