Yashamaru

Yashamaru is a supporting character in the anime series "Naruto." He is a medical ninja from the Hidden Sand Village and also Gaara's uncle and caretaker. Yashamaru was deeply trusted by his sister Karura, who asked him to care for young Gaara before her death. Although Yashamaru tried his best to fulfill his duty, he couldn't suppress his fear of Gaara, who had the One-Tailed Shukaku sealed inside him. He worried that Gaara would repeat Karura's fate and eventually saw Gaara as a threat. Yashamaru was used by the Hidden Sand Village's superiors and was assigned to test Gaara's power in order to decide if he needed to be eliminated. While carrying out this task, Yashamaru's inner struggle reached its peak. He finally expressed his true feelings to Gaara, stating that he did not love him but instead feared him. Yashamaru died after attacking Gaara with exploding tags. His death deeply traumatized Gaara's young heart, further deepening his loneliness and pain, which became an important part of his tragic childhood.
