Ao

Ao (青) was a shinobi of Kirigakure and skilled enough to be a member of his village's search squad. After the end of the Fourth Shinobi World War, he joined Kara and became a rogue ninja. Ao was shown to be arrogant and somewhat masculine as he believes men should be energetic and decisive, constantly reprimanding Choujuurou for his pessimistic and weak attitude. This attitude seems to stem from his time in Kirigakure when it was known as the Village of the Bloody Mist. He has a tendency to bring up how things were done during those days, normally while scolding Choujuurou's behavior. Ao, despite his agitation, seems to have some sort of friendship with Choujuurou, as he offered to treat him to a meal for good luck in the coming war. After surviving the Fourth Shinobi World War, Ao became disillusioned with the shinobi world. Despite his loyalty to Kirigakure, he does not return to the village. He became more cold and battle-hungry, eager to experience combat again. Ao wears an eye patch, concealing the Byakugan he took from a Hyuga clan member he defeated. He wears talismans on his ears that protect his Byakugan when threatened. Ao's appearance also changes over time; after the war, he becomes visibly aged, with wrinkles, and has lost his left hand and foot, which are replaced by experimental cybernetic prosthetics. The right side of his face is also heavily scarred and covered with a craniofacial prosthesis.
