Zaku Abumi

Zaku Abumi (ザク・アブミ) was a shinobi from Otogakure and a member of Team Dosu, which participated in the Chūnin Exams under Orochimaru's secret orders. In the anime, Zaku grew up as an orphan living on the streets, resorting to theft and enduring beatings. Orochimaru discovered him and offered to help develop his potential in exchange for his loyalty, which Zaku accepted. Later, Zaku was seen defeating several Takigakure shinobi single-handedly. From that point on, he refused to give up, even at the cost of his own life, unaware that Orochimaru viewed him as a disposable pawn. Zaku, like his teammates, was overconfident in his abilities, particularly the ones from his arms. He believed he was unbeatable and had a strong desire to win, but remained unaware of enemy plans until it was too late. Zaku's arrogance led him to insult Choji Akimichi, triggering a fight, and he also proudly admitted to injuring Sakura Haruno, resulting in conflict with Sasuke Uchiha, ultimately leading to his arms being disabled. Despite his overconfidence, Zaku displayed some concern for his teammates.
