Hanzō (半蔵, Hanzō), also known as "Hanzō of the Salamander," was a legendary shinobi from the Naruto series and the former leader of Amegakure. Renowned for his immense power and mastery of poison, he fought against Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru during the Second Shinobi World War, giving them the title of "Sannin." As a child, Hanzō had the venom sac of a black salamander implanted within his body, causing his breath to become poisonous and requiring him to wear a special mask. Though initially seeking peace, he later pursued power, collaborating with Danzō Shimura to betray the Akatsuki, leading to Yahiko's death. This ultimately led to his demise at the hands of Pain. His corpse was later turned into a puppet by Shiki for combat purposes. Hanzō’s fighting style was characterized by his poison techniques and high-speed movement, making him one of the strongest shinobi of his era.
