Shimotsuki Kouzaburou is a significant character in "One Piece," a member of the Shimotsuki Family and a legendary swordsmith. Born in Wano Country, he illegally left 55 years ago and eventually founded Shimotsuki Village in the East Blue. Kouzaburou is renowned for his exceptional forging skills, crafting two famous blades: Wado Ichimonji and Enma, both of which are classified as Great Grade Swords. Wado Ichimonji later became a key sword for Zoro, while Enma was used by Kozuki Oden before it eventually reached Zoro's hands. In his later years, Kouzaburou was somewhat eccentric and reclusive, but he once mentored the young Zoro in swordsmanship and gifted him two regular swords. He deeply understood the true nature of named swords, believing that only a swordsman capable of wielding the blade can unleash its true power and despising those who see swords as cursed. Furthermore, Kouzaburou is the father of Koushirou and grandfather of Kuina, the Shimotsuki clan being a famous family of swordsmen in Wano Country.
