Five Elders

The Five Elders, or Gorosei, of One Piece are the highest authority figures within the World Government. They are a council of five enigmatic elderly men, the highest-ranking Celestial Dragons, and directly answer to Imu, wielding immense power. The Five Elders' primary concern is maintaining world order and protecting the public image of the World Government, willing to do anything to conceal the truth, including the destruction of entire islands to hide the 'Void Century'. They harbor a deep-seated fear of pirates, particularly Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates, and possess powerful combat abilities, including Devil Fruit powers and Haki. Each Elder has a unique role within the World Government, and their true identities, motivations, and ultimate goals remain a significant mystery within the series.
