Toko

Toko is a character from One Piece, residing in the Flower Capital of Wano Country. She served as a kamuro (child attendant) for the courtesan Komurasaki (actually Kozuki Hiyori). She is the adopted daughter of the late daimyo of Hakumai, Shimotsuki Yasuie, making her a member of the Shimotsuki Family. Due to consuming a failed SMILE fruit, Toko is unable to express negative emotions and can only laugh continuously, even in moments of grief. Despite this, she remains a kind and friendly girl who is full of gratitude towards others. She was once willing to be late for her duties to try Sanji's soba noodles, and was also pursued for uncontrollably laughing at Orochi during a banquet. Her life has been turbulent, having been abandoned by her birth parents, and later adopted by Yasuie. After her father's execution, she tried to revive him with Usopp's toad oil. Toko shares close friendships with Hiyori, Zoro, and Robin. Though her laughter originates from misfortune, it has become her unique and unforgettable trademark.
