Kawamatsu

Kawamatsu, also known as Kawamatsu the Kappa, is a character in the Japanese manga series *One Piece*, first appearing in the Wano Country arc. He is a powerful fish-man who resembles a kappa, a mythical Japanese creature. Kawamatsu is a skilled sumo wrestler, holding the rank of yokozuna. As a child, he was shipwrecked in Wano Country and rescued by Kozuki Oden, subsequently becoming one of Oden's retainers, the “Nine Red Scabbards.” After Oden’s death, Kawamatsu hid with Oden's daughter Hiyori for seven years. He was then imprisoned by the Beasts Pirates for thirteen years until freed by Monkey D. Luffy. Upon his release, Kawamatsu joined the Nine Red Scabbards in their fight against Kurozumi Orochi and Kaido to avenge Oden. Kawamatsu is kind, loyal, and protective, willing to sacrifice everything for Hiyori. Though he looks like a kappa, he insists he is a fish-man, using the kappa persona to hide his identity. His fighting style combines sumo techniques and swordsmanship, making him a formidable fighter. He is known for his unique laugh, "Kappappappa." His weapon is a katana named “Soto Muso,” and he wields powerful Busoshoku Haki (Armament Haki).
