Kurozumi Orochi

Kurozumi Orochi is a major antagonist in the anime and manga series *One Piece*. He was the former shogun of Wano Country. Born into the disgraced Kurozumi Family, he suffered persecution due to his grandfather's failed coup attempt. This led to a childhood of poverty and resentment towards Wano. He allied himself with Kaido of the Four Emperors to overthrow the Kozuki family, seizing the position of shogun. Orochi is portrayed as a cruel, cowardly and greedy tyrant. He ruled Wano with an iron fist alongside Kaido, oppressing the citizens and turning the country into a wasteland. Paranoid and fearful of the Kozuki clan's return, he acted rashly. Despite his Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit, enabling him to transform into the eight-headed Yamata no Orochi, his combat prowess was not impressive. Ultimately, Orochi was defeated by the Nine Red Scabbards, bringing an end to his tyrannical reign. Orochi's rule was one of the causes of the Wano Country's suffering, symbolizing darkness and oppression.
