Hyouzou

Hyouzou is a character in the manga and anime series *One Piece*, first appearing in Chapter 607. He is a poisonous blue-ringed octopus merman and the assassin of the New Fish-Man Pirates. Before his imprisonment, he was a mercenary and was known as the strongest swordsman on Fish-Man Island. He employs the Eight Sword Style and can secrete venom from his tentacles to coat his blades. Hyouzou is generally laid-back but becomes violent and indiscriminately attacks those around him when drunk. He is motivated by money and has no real loyalty to the New Fish-Man Pirates' goals. Despite his self-proclaimed title as the best swordsman, he attempted a dishonorable sneak attack on Zoro. He changes physically after using Energy Steroids, becoming more powerful but suffering rapid aging as a side effect. He is ultimately defeated by Zoro and weakened by the steroids.
