Hammond

Hammond (ハモンド) is a Fish-Man in One Piece, a member of the New Fish-Man Pirates. He is a daggertooth pike conger Fish-Man, with a slim build, bright yellow skin, puffy orange hair, a long squarish neck, and a small beard. His facial features are quite sinister, including a long, sharp beak-like muzzle, razor-like teeth, and dark, glaring eyes. Hammond has the Arlong Pirates' tattoo on his neck, honoring Arlong and his ideals. He also sports the New Fish-Man Pirates' tattoo on the right side of his abdomen. Hammond is arrogant and, like Arlong, views humans as an inferior race. He is very proud of his Fish-Man identity, extending this to other sea creatures. As a supporting antagonist in the Fish-Man Island Arc, he tried to force the Straw Hat Pirates to join the New Fish-Man Pirates. Although arrogant, he can be surprisingly thoughtful, carefully considering the Straw Hats' offenses against the Fish-Men and giving them the choice to join or be destroyed. He appears to have a deep respect and fear for his captain, Hody Jones. Hammond's fighting abilities are not fully revealed, but as a Fish-Man, he has ten times the strength of a normal human, even more so underwater. He was easily defeated by Luffy and later by Robin. His laughter quirk is "Hamo hamo hamo."
