Holdem

Holdem is a character in the anime and manga series *One Piece*, serving as one of the Headliners of the Beasts Pirates and a ruler of the Kuri region in Wano Country. He is a tall man with long brown hair, distinct purple circles around his eyes, a square jaw, a pointed nose, and feline-like whiskers. He has purple sun-like tattoos on his arms and often wears a tall blue top hat with a crest. Holdem is known for having a lion's head called 'Kamijiro' on his stomach, which has its own consciousness and can breathe fire. Holdem has a rough and cruel personality, being strict towards his subordinates, but also has some comedic aspects. He kidnapped Tama to exploit her powers but was defeated by Luffy. Despite his defeat, he remains active in the Wano Country arc, displaying his disapproval towards the pirates challenging Kaido. His name is speculated to be derived from the poker game 'Texas Hold'em,' though author Eiichiro Oda stated in an SBS that his inspiration came from the anime *Daltanius*.
