Fossa

Fossa is a character in the Japanese manga series *One Piece*, serving as the 15th division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. Fossa is a large, muscular, older man with a bald patch on the top of his head, a white (black in the anime) mustache, a diagonal scar across his face, and a split chin. He has Whitebeard's symbol tattooed on his right deltoid, along with three small circles. He wears an open dark blue sleeveless jacket with light edges, loose light brown pants tucked into boots, and a reddish-brown belt. His weapon of choice is a katana with a square tsuba, which he carries on his left hip, though he is sometimes seen carrying it over his left shoulder using a long strap. Fossa is incredibly loyal to the Whitebeard Pirates and Whitebeard. He risked his life to protect Ace during the Marineford War. Fossa is a powerful swordsman with the ability to ignite his blade in flames. The source of this ability is unknown. Fossa has been involved in many significant events in the *One Piece* world, including the Whitebeard Pirates' first visit to Wano Country and the Battle of Marineford.
