Speed Jiru

Speed Jiru is a character from One Piece, formerly the 14th division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. He is a somewhat round man of average height, wearing a brown fez with the Whitebeard's insignia. He wears a white robe with brown sleeves and leggings, also bearing the Whitebeard's insignia. He wields a jousting lance as his weapon and carries a golden heater shield, again with the Whitebeard's insignia. Speed Jiru is very loyal to the Whitebeard Pirates and Whitebeard himself. During the Marineford War, he was willing to risk his life to save Ace. Although he may not be one of the most prominent characters, he remains a trustworthy member of the Whitebeard Pirates and plays a supporting role in important battles. In the anime, he displays great speed and agility, evidenced by his ability to dodge Admiral Kizaru's laser beams and rapidly defeat Marine soldiers in combat. His body structure also appears to change occasionally, which could be due to a Devil Fruit power, a Life Return technique, or simply drawing errors, but the exact reason is unknown. Speed Jiru also attended Whitebeard's and Ace's funeral, and a year after the Marineford War, he fought with the remaining Whitebeard Pirates against the Blackbeard Pirates, ultimately losing and going into hiding.
