Boa Hancock, also known as the "Pirate Empress," is a prominent character in the anime and manga series One Piece. She is the captain of the Kuja Pirates, the current empress of Amazon Lily, and a former member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. Widely regarded as the most beautiful woman in the world, Hancock possesses both stunning looks and immense power. She has the power of the Mero Mero no Mi Devil Fruit, which allows her to petrify those who are attracted to her. Hancock has a haughty and arrogant personality, which stems from her past as a slave and her distrust of men. After meeting Luffy, her personality gradually changes, developing a deep affection for him and becoming a crucial ally. She rules the all-female island of Amazon Lily and leads the Kuja tribe while maintaining its peace. Hancock has aided Luffy numerous times throughout the series, playing a vital role in the Marineford War. Despite being a former Warlord, she harbors distrust towards the World Government and has repeatedly betrayed them for Luffy's sake. Her bounty was reinstated and significantly increased after the abolition of the Warlords system, making her one of the World Government's most wanted criminals.
