Monkey D. Garp

Monkey D. Garp, also known as "Garp the Fist," is an extremely famous and powerful Marine Vice Admiral in the anime and manga series *One Piece*. He is the father of Monkey D. Dragon, the paternal grandfather of Monkey D. Luffy, and the adoptive grandfather of Portgas D. Ace. Garp is a legendary figure in the Marines, having fought against the Pirate King Gol D. Roger numerous times, earning him the title of "Hero of the Marines." Despite being offered the rank of Admiral several times, Garp consistently refused due to his disdain for the World Nobles. Known for his immense physical strength and mastery of Haki, Garp is capable of breaking rocks and battleships with his fists. While he is strict and often uses his "Fist of Love" to train his grandsons, he is fiercely protective of his family and prioritizes them over his duty at crucial moments. Even in captivity, his reputation continues to instill fear in the World Government.
