Hachi

Hachi, also known as "Hatchan," is a significant character in One Piece. He is an octopus fish-man who was formerly an officer of the Arlong Pirates and a member of the Sun Pirates. After the defeat of the Arlong Pirates, Hachi was the sole member to escape. He underwent various adventures, eventually opening a floating takoyaki restaurant and reuniting with the Straw Hat Pirates. He reappears as a major supporting character in both the Sabaody Archipelago and Fish-Man Island arcs. Hachi has pink skin, grey spiky hair, six arms with suction cups, and two legs. Initially not very intelligent and easily duped, he later becomes more intelligent and reliable. He feels ashamed of his past actions in Cocoyasi Village and tries to make amends. He is very kind and caring, shown by his attempts to prevent Luffy from attacking a Celestial Dragon in the Sabaody Archipelago arc, and by his protection of Camie and Pappag. His relationship with the Straw Hat Pirates evolves from enemy to ally, assisting them on their journey to Fish-Man Island.
