Shimotsuki Kuina

Shimotsuki Kuina is a significant supporting character in One Piece. She is the daughter of Koushirou, the owner of a dojo, and a childhood friend and rival of Roronoa Zoro. A prodigious swordswoman, she never lost a match at the dojo, even against Zoro wielding two swords. She and Zoro made a promise that one of them would become the world's greatest swordsman. Sadly, she died in an accident at the age of 11, which became a powerful motivation for Zoro's pursuit of his dream. In her memory, Zoro inherited her katana, "Wado Ichimonji," which he considers his most important sword. Despite her brief appearance, her character has had a profound impact on Zoro's development and the story of One Piece. Her existence symbolizes dreams, rivalry, loss, and inspiration.
