Gol D. Roger

Gol D. Roger, also known as the "Pirate King", is a legendary character in One Piece. He was the captain of the Roger Pirates and the only pirate to have conquered the Grand Line and reached the final island, Laugh Tale. Roger was renowned for his fearless nature, immense strength, and his longing for freedom. He left behind the legendary treasure, "One Piece," which sparked the "Great Pirate Era." Roger's iconic features include his curved black mustache, his hearty smile, and his signature pirate hat. Although he eventually surrendered himself and was executed due to an incurable illness, his last words inspired countless others to pursue their dreams and changed the landscape of the entire world. He was both a rival and a respected friend of the Marine hero Garp, and the biological father of Portgas D. Ace. Roger also possessed the mysterious ability to "hear the voice of all things" and could decipher ancient writings.
