Kiryu Coco was a retired Japanese Virtual YouTuber affiliated with Hololive's 4th Generation. She debuted in December 2019 as a language exchange student and quickly gained popularity for her fluency in Japanese and English, her morning news show "AsaCoco Live News," and her Reddit Meme Review show. Known for her outspoken, irreverent, and humorous style, Coco was also known for pushing the boundaries of what VTubers could get away with on YouTube. She was also one of the top Superchat earners in the world. Despite her crude humor, Kiryu Coco was also very caring and supportive of other members, offering help and encouragement when they faced difficulties. In September 2020, she faced controversy for displaying "Taiwan" in a stream, drawing criticism from some Chinese viewers. Kiryu Coco announced her graduation in June 2021 and held her graduation stream on July 1, attracting over 490,000 viewers, setting a record for the highest concurrent viewership in Hololive and VTuber history. Her graduation stemmed from personal career plans, and she moved on to a new chapter in the future.
