While playing soccer with Kuromi and Baku, Baku accidentally releases mysterious black notes in the grass. Simultaneously, the King of Mari Land is removed from the throne due to being unfit. In order to become the new princess, My Melody needs to collect these black notes and transform them into twinkle gems. Meanwhile, Kuromi learns about the Dark Princess from a mysterious black panther and also aspires to become the princess of Mari Land.
