Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You (Japanese: 君に届け) is a Japanese shōjo manga series written and illustrated by Karuho Shiina. The story revolves around Sawako Kuronuma, a high school girl who is nicknamed "Sadako" due to her eerie appearance, resembling the character from The Ring. Despite her timid and misunderstood nature, Sawako longs to make friends. Her life begins to change when she meets Shota Kazehaya, a cheerful and popular classmate. The series follows Sawako as she gradually opens up, makes new friends, and develops a sweet romance with Kazehaya. The manga was serialized in Bessatsu Margaret magazine starting in 2005 and has been adapted into an anime series, a live-action film, and a live-action drama series. The anime, produced by Production I.G, has three seasons, with the third season streaming on Netflix in 2024. The series is well-regarded for its heartwarming story, endearing characters, and delicate portrayal of emotions, and has won multiple awards including the Best Shōjo Manga award at the 2008 Kodansha Manga Awards.
