Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl (Japanese: 電波女と青春男, Hepburn: Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko, lit. 'Electrowave Girl and Youthful Boy') is a Japanese light novel series written by Hitoma Iruma, with illustrations by Buriki. The story revolves around Makoto Niwa, a high school student who grades his own youth experiences, and his cousin, Erio Touwa, who claims to be an alien and spends her days wrapped in a futon, refusing to go to school. Makoto tries to adjust to this chaotic new life and attempts to reintroduce Erio to society. Along the way, he meets other eccentric girls and discovers that an abnormal youth can be quite thrilling.
The series comprises eight novels published by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko imprint from January 2009 to April 2011. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Masato Yamane, was serialized in ASCII Media Works's Dengeki G's Magazine. A 12-episode anime adaptation by Shaft aired in Japan from April to July 2011, with an original video animation episode released in February 2012. The anime was directed by Akiyuki Shinbo and Yukihiro Miyamoto, featuring the opening theme "Os-Uchūjin" by Erio o Kamatte-chan and the ending theme "Lulu" by Etsuko Yakushimaru. The anime is licensed in North America by NIS America under the title Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl.
