Miyakawa-ke no Kuufuku (The Miyakawa Family's Hunger) is a Japanese four-panel manga series created by Kagami Yoshimizu and a spin-off of Lucky Star. The manga follows the daily lives of sisters Hinata Miyakawa and Hikage Miyakawa, who, despite their poverty, live happily and enjoy school life with their teachers and classmates. The manga was originally serialized in CompH's, then moved to Monthly Comp Ace, and finally to Comptiq. In 2013, the series was adapted into an online anime that was streamed on Ustream, with a total of 10 episodes. The anime was produced by Ordet and ENCOURAGE FILMS, directed by Yutaka Yamamoto, with Touko Machida in charge of the series composition, and Kenichi Maeyamada as the music composer. The anime retained the lighthearted and humorous style of the original manga, portraying the theme of "poor but happy" through the daily lives of the Miyakawa sisters. Additionally, the broadcast of the online anime was accompanied by a radio show titled "Miyakawa-ke no Kuufuku Harapeko Radio," which further expanded the world of the series and engaged with the audience. The series is popular among many fans for its unique character settings, light-hearted storylines, and its relation to Lucky Star.
