"Orenchi no Furo Jijou" (オレん家のフロ事情), also known as "Merman in My Tub," is a Japanese four-panel comedy manga series created by Itokichi. The manga began serialization in Media Factory's "Monthly Comic Gene" in 2011, and was adapted into a television anime series in 2014. The story follows Tatsumi, a high school boy living alone, who one day finds a handsome merman named Wakasa collapsed near a lake. As Wakasa's home is too polluted to live in, Tatsumi kindly lets Wakasa stay in his bathtub. The story revolves around the daily comedic life of Tatsumi with the self-centered but cute merman Wakasa, and Wakasa’s friends (including octopus and jellyfish). The anime version is a series of short episodes, each about 4 minutes long, with a total of 13 episodes. Adapted from the manga, it faithfully presents the lighthearted and fun style, and has gained popularity for its unique setting and humorous storyline. It is a lighthearted and funny show with charming character interactions.
