The Highschool Life of a Fudanshi (腐男子高校生活, Fudanshi Kōkō Seikatsu) is a Japanese yonkoma manga series written and drawn by Michinoku Atami. The manga is published online in Ichijinsha's Zero-Sum Online, with the first tankōbon released on September 25, 2015. The series humorously portrays the life of a fudanshi, a boy who loves boys' love (BL) stories, despite being straight himself. The story revolves around high school student Ryo Sakaguchi, who struggles with his unusual hobby and attempts to explain this particular world to his friends. Many plot points in the manga parody BL cliches and fan culture. The manga is licensed in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment.
The series was also adapted into an anime television series produced by EMT Squared, which aired in Japan starting July 5, 2016, with episodes of approximately 3 minutes each. The anime is directed by Toshikatsu Tokoro and features character designs by Chinatsu Ishida. The opening theme song is "Sekai wa Boy Meets Boy♂" performed by Wataru Hatano, who voices Ryo Sakaguchi. The anime follows the daily life of Ryo and his friends, including fellow BL enthusiast Rumi Nishihara. The series explores themes of BL fandom, friendship, and self-acceptance.
