Grand Blue Dreaming (Japanese: ぐらんぶる, Guran Buru), also known as Grand Blue, is a Japanese manga series written by Kenji Inoue and illustrated by Kimitake Yoshioka. The story centers on Iori Kitahara, who begins his college life at Izu University with high expectations, moving into his uncle's diving shop, "Grand Blue." However, he is quickly drawn into the boisterous antics of the diving club, a group of eccentric upperclassmen who love diving and alcohol more than anything. As Iori gets swept up in their chaotic activities, he also starts to discover the joys of scuba diving. This manga is well-known for its humorous plot and unique characters, depicting the fun aspects of college life and friendship. It began serialization in Kodansha's Good! Afternoon magazine in 2014, and was adapted into a television anime in 2018. A second season of the anime has also been announced. Additionally, a live-action film was released in 2020.
