In/Spectre

In/Spectre, also known as Kyokou Suiri, is a Japanese light novel series written by Kyo Shirodaira. The story revolves around Kotoko Iwanaga, who at the age of 11 was abducted by yokai and became their "God of Wisdom," a mediator between the spirit and human worlds, losing an eye and a leg in the process. Six years later, she consults with yokai to solve their problems. Simultaneously, university student Kuro Sakuragawa encounters Kotoko after a yokai incident and reveals his immortality and precognitive abilities. Together, they tackle supernatural cases, their relationship developing romantically. The series has a manga adaptation illustrated by Chasiba Katase, serialized from 2015, and an anime adaptation produced by Brain's Base, with the first season airing in January 2020 and the second in January 2023. In/Spectre is known for its unique blend of mystery, supernatural elements, and romance.
