Granbelm

Granbelm (グランベルム) is a Japanese original anime television series created and produced by Nexus. It aired from July 5 to September 26, 2019, on the Animeism programming block on MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS. The story is set in a world where magic was once abundant, but the use of magic in war led to the world's near destruction. To prevent this, powerful mages sealed all magic into a device known as the "Magiaconatus." Millennia later, magic is largely forgotten, with only a few magical families remaining. In the modern age, a magical girl battle tournament called "Granbelm" has awakened magic. Participants pilot giant robots called "Armanox," and the winner will become the "Princeps Mage," gaining control of all magic within the Magiaconatus. The protagonist, Mangetsu Kohinata, a normal high school student, unexpectedly discovers she has magical abilities and receives her own Armanox, "White Lily," thereby becoming involved in the Granbelm battles. The story revolves around Mangetsu's battles with other magical girls and their individual wishes, blending magical girl, mecha combat, and fantasy elements.
