"Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll" is an anime film produced by Kyoto Animation, serving as a side story to the "Violet Evergarden" series. The story follows Violet Evergarden, an Auto Memory Doll, who is hired as a tutor for Isabella York, a noblewoman attending an all-girls academy. Isabella, disillusioned with her future and viewing the school as a prison, is initially cold to Violet. However, over time, Isabella recognizes that Violet has faced her own struggles and begins to open up. Isabella reveals that she has lost contact with her younger sister, Taylor Bartlett, and longs to see her again. Drawing from her past experiences with clients, Violet asks if Isabella wishes to write a letter to Taylor. Violet helps Isabella express her feelings, while also learning more about emotions herself. Later, Taylor arrives at Violet's post office, asking to become a mail carrier. Ultimately, Taylor is adopted by the Evergarden family, and Violet and Benedict continue their work. Released in 2019, the film was lauded for its beautiful animation, touching plot, and sensitive portrayal of character emotions, further enriching the "Violet Evergarden" universe.
