Dragon Force: So Long, Ultraman is a 2017 Chinese animated film directed by Wang Wei. Produced by Guangzhou BlueArc Animation and Le Vision Pictures, among others, it tells the story of the Dragon Force team collaborating with Ultraman to fight against evil forces. The film was dubbed by Shanghai Film Dubbing Studio and features the theme song 'I Saw You in Poetry' written and performed by Da Zhang Wei. However, the movie sparked controversy for infringing on Tsuburaya Productions' copyright of Ultraman and was ruled as copyright infringement by the Shanghai Pudong New District People's Court in 2020. Despite these legal issues, the film gained some popularity and spawned a sequel, Dragon Force: Rise of Ultraman. This sequel, which follows the events of the first film, focuses on the ongoing cooperation between the Dragon Force team and Ultraman in their fight against evil. The sequel also centers on the adventure of a human boy, Lele, and Ultraman as they work together to save the Earth. Both films involve Ultraman, but have been marred by copyright disputes.
