"The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made" (Japanese: 進化の実～知らないうちに勝ち組人生～, Shinka no Mi: Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei) is a Japanese light novel series written by Miku and illustrated by U35. The story revolves around Seiichi Hiiragi, a bullied and overweight high school student who is transported to another world along with his classmates. He is left behind by everyone and is sent to a remote part of a forest. In desperation, he eats the “Fruit of Evolution” which transforms his appearance and grants him immense power, initiating his journey as a “winner.” The series has been adapted into manga and anime, the first season of the anime aired in October 2021, and the second in January 2023. It combines elements of isekai, fantasy, and comedy, chronicling Seiichi’s adventure in another world, where he grows stronger and journeys with his companions.
