"Parallel World Pharmacy" (Japanese: 異世界薬局, Isekai Yakkyoku) is a Japanese light novel series written by Liz Takayama and illustrated by keepout. The story follows Kanji Yakutani, a Japanese medical researcher who dies from overwork and is reincarnated in a medieval-like fantasy world as a 10-year-old boy named Falma de Médicis. In this world, medical practices are rudimentary, and proper healthcare is a privilege for the wealthy. Falma, possessing his past life's pharmaceutical knowledge and new supernatural abilities, decides to revolutionize medicine by opening a pharmacy for the common folk. The series has been adapted into a manga and an anime, with the anime series produced by Diomedéa and aired from July to September 2022. The light novels were initially serialized online in July 2015 on the user-generated novel publishing website "Shōsetsuka ni Narō" and were later acquired by Media Factory, who published them under their MF Books imprint starting in January 2016. A manga adaptation has been serialized online via Kadokawa Shoten's ComicWalker website since November 2016.
