Golden Kamuy (2022) is the fourth season of the Japanese anime series adapted from the manga of the same name by Satoru Noda. This season is produced by Brain's Base, replacing the previous studio, Geno Studio. The story continues the adventures of Saichi Sugimoto, a former soldier in post-Russo-Japanese War Hokkaido, and Asirpa, an Ainu girl, as they search for hidden Ainu gold. The season adapts from the 21st volume to the beginning of the 25th volume (chapters 171–172; 201–244) of the manga, with Shizutaka Sugahara as chief director, Takumi Yamakawa as character designer, and Noboru Takagi returning to write the scripts. Season 4 premiered on October 3, 2022, but experienced a broadcast delay due to the unexpected death of a staff member, resuming on April 3, 2023. The show is known for its unique blend of cultural and historical elements with exciting treasure hunt plots, gaining it popularity among audiences.
