Dead Mount Death Play (2023)

Dead Mount Death Play is a Japanese manga series written by Ryohgo Narita and illustrated by Shinta Fujimoto. The story revolves around a powerful necromancer known as the "Corpse God" from another world, who engages in a climactic battle with a hero called the "Calamity Crusher." In the midst of their fight, the Corpse God uses a reincarnation spell, which sends him to modern-day Tokyo, where he is reborn as Polka Shinoyama, a recently murdered teenager. Seeking a peaceful life, the Corpse God tries to adapt, but finds himself caught in a world of supernatural intrigue, with various factions targeting him. He forms alliances with Misaki Sakimiya, a high school girl who can see spirits, Takumi Kuruya, a skilled contractor specializing in surveillance and hacking, and Lisa Kuraki, a crime boss in Shinjuku. Together, they navigate dangers to uncover the truth behind his reincarnation and the fate of the world they now live in. The manga began serialization in 2017 in Square Enix's Young Gangan, and was adapted into a two-cour anime series produced by Geek Toys in 2023.
