Tales Of Dark River (2024)

Tales of Dark River is a 2024 Chinese mainland historical wuxia drama adapted from Zhou Munan's web novel of the same name. The series is co-produced by Youku, Youkeneng Pictures, and Shenge Pictures, directed by Yin Tao, and stars Gong Jun in the lead role. The story revolves around a mysterious assassin organization called "Dark River" and follows the young swordsman Su Muyu as he becomes embroiled in a power struggle within the organization. He turns against his former close friend while trying to uphold his inner faith amidst political schemes and life-or-death choices. The series consists of 40 episodes and began filming on June 13, 2024, in Hengdian World Studios, with a wrap-up special released on November 30, 2024.
